The fact that production for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is taking place partially in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is making big waves in the community.

A local news source did some poking around to find out details about production plans for the films, and they learned that the scenes being shot in Louisiana will indeed be indoors and that it is being considered very beneficial to the local economy.

“What you’ll see is much like what ‘Steel Magnolias’ did for Natchitoches . . . People go to Natchitoches to this day to see the house in ‘Steel Magnolias,’” reports WBRZ. Given the fact that Twilight fans are famed for traveling to Forks, La Push, Portland, Vancouver, and even to Italy to see the Twilight sights, this is probably at least a little true.

Now latest report on The Twilight right now is regarding its casting side.  It is reported that one of the actors of the HBO series ‘The Pacific’  is going to be appearing in the final chapter(s) of the Twilight Saga:  The Breaking Dawn.

As you know, the final two films will be directed by Bill Condon that will feature Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning, Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, and Nikki Reed.  It is now reported that Rami Malek is selected to play the vampire Benjamin in the final film.  Benjamin is an Egyptian vampire who serves as a witness for the Cullens.

This is not the first time that Rami has played an Egyptian.  He also featured as Ahkmenrah in Night at the Museum 2.  It is also known that Rami Malek is chosen for a part in the upcoming Tom Hanks’ film Larry Crowne.

Twilight Breaking Dawn will be shot in two movies, with part one in November 2011 and Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 in Nov 2012. Also, check out Twilight Games.

Not very long ago Robert Pattinson told the French ‘Premiere Magazine’ that he would be more than interested to see how the last part of the Twilight series ‘Breaking Dawn’ will be envisioned by the director Bill Condon. The actor told the mag that with Bella and Edward gets married and she conceives and gives birth to their half vampire-half human baby. So he expects that in all likelihood they might just end shooting the film being an R-rated one. But now the news is out that Summit Entertainment is not going the hardcore way. More –>

Leaked Twilight Breaking Dawn Footage? No.  But pretty funny none-the-less

Breaking Dawn has been confirmed to split in two movies, and the financial budget will be higher than the previous movies. Bill Condon will direct both films. Filming is expected to begin in October 2010. The first movie is expected to premiere in November 18, 2011.

Since Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner were originally contracted to make four films, Summit Entertainment had to renegotiate their agreements.

Thus far, only ten people have been announced to reprise their roles: Kristen Stewart (Bella), Robert Pattinson (Edward), Taylor Lautner (Jacob), Billy Burke (Charlie), Peter Facinelli (Carlisle), Kellan Lutz (Emmett), Ashley Greene (Alice), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper), Nikki Reed (Rosalie), and Elizabeth Reaser (Esme).

It is not known whether Renesmee will be CGI, or if one/many actresses will portray her. There are also concerns about making a PG-13 movie adaptation, due to the book’s complex and graphic storylines, including the birth of a half-vampire, half-human baby.
